Our classes

Pilates for Everyone

At Embodied Pilates Studio we are pleased to offer Pilates instruction for everyone. 

Whether you are new to Pilates or regular exercise, an athlete, or an experienced practitioner, we are delighted to welcome you through the doors of our beautiful Studio.

We invite everyone who is new to Pilates, or to our studio, to take part in one of our Explore Sessions.

All of our classes are 45 minutes long.

6 Week Courses

During these courses we will progress you through a series of Pilates, Barre or Slings Classes, building each week so that you can experience the improvements in your movement week on week. Class size is 8 people maximum to allow for individual attention and correction. Our Pilates courses have 3 levels:

Level 1 – this is for beginners to Pilates. 

Level 2 – we recommend that you complete at least two Level 1 courses before joining this level (unless otherwise discussed with your instructor) 

Level 3 – This is for clients who are injury free and looking to progress to the more advanced Pilates repertoire. You should discuss with your instructor before advancing to this level.

As with all exercise, you get the most benefits from doing it regularly.  We would recommend at least 2 classes per week.  Choose from our timetable the class type and times that suit you best.

Mixed Level Drop-ins

These classes will be a mixed ability class, catering for those in attendance on the day. Please let the studio know in advance of any injuries or restrictions you have before signing up. We recommend an Explore Session before joining this class if you are new to the studio or Pilates.

Barre Classes

We are delighted to be first in the market in the City to bring you Ballet Barre. A challenging, fun, up-beat class to music which incorporates Ballet Barre movements, Pilates principles, and cardio to create a full body workout. This class will strengthen and elongate your body – not to mention the fun factor!

Strength & Mobility Classes (Slings in Motion®)

Imagine a class that you walk out of feeling like you had a full body deep tissue massage while also having been challenged physically. 

Our Strength & Mobility classes are devised from Slings in Motion®. These classes utilise elements of Yoga, Pilates, functional anatomy training in combination with myofascial release techniques, and we at Embodied Pilates Studio are thrilled to introduce this movement modality to you in the Maiden City for the first time. 

We take you through all ranges of motion with a focus on balance, glide, stability, agility and stabilisation, along with an element of self-fascial release (like a deep tissue massage). This movement practice has changed our lives and bodies for the better – we hope to do the same for you.

Pre & Post Natal Studio Sessions

Whether you are preparing for your new arrival, or recovering after birth, we’re here to look after you. Through years of experience helping to prepare mothers for birth, the strength and endurance, and pelvic floor health that aids in a quicker post birth recovery are just some of the things we focus on during class.

Following the birth of your little one, when your doctor or physio has given the go ahead, we can help you regain the strength and confidence post birth.

In these Studio Sessions for a maximum of 4 people, we use the large apparatus and the mat to support you in your movement no matter what stage you are*.

(*Starting exercise for the first time in your third trimester is not recommended)

Keep Active

We are creating a community of like-minded movement lovers where we can support you to continue all your favourite activities - walking, gardening, golfing, playing with grandkids – all without pain. We want to help you to improve your balance, strength, agility, stability by starting wherever you are, and giving you progressions to be the strong confident mover we know you can be. Along the way, you’ll notice an improvement in your overall mental health and wellbeing, and have fun in a welcoming, professional, safe environment.

Corporate Classes

 In person or online classes specifically developed for the workforce. Employers tell us what a ‘normal’ workday looks like, most common injuries among their workforce, and we program a course specifically for their employees. Price based on numbers and class programming needs
