The Evolution of Embodied Pilates Studio

It’s the middle of April and Laurie and Louise stand in their studio in Clarendon Street surveying the beautiful BASI Systems Pilates equipment, the Ballet Barre and all the lovely small equipment thinking ‘our dream has finally come true!’ 

It has been a long road to get here starting from a phonecall in May 2021 where Laurie mentioned she was moving to Derry with her family, and a plan started to unfold.  

There have been many highs and lows since then, from struggles to find a location, to a fabulous event in December, struggles with a booking system, to teaching wonderful clients in a temporary location in Great James’ Street, wondering if we would ever see the end of the onions (see photo – the struggle was real!), to now teaching private clients in our very own studio. 

We worked so hard to get here and now things are finally falling into place - the opening is in sight!  Despite the hiccups along the way, nothing can dampen spirits as the reality of the new life they have created in Derry starts to take shape.
